Delete Your LazyBudget Account
Last updated: September 25, 2026
LazyBudget is provided by Kenex LLC. You can delete your account and the data stored under it at any time, from inside the app or by email.
1. Delete from the app
- Open LazyBudget and sign in.
- Go to Settings and open your account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate. You may be asked to sign in again first, which is a security check before an irreversible action.
2. Delete by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@lazybudget.app from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete the account within 7 days and confirm by reply.
3. What is deleted
- Your sign-in account.
- Your bills and income, your profile, and your household membership.
- Your bank connections: we ask Plaid to disconnect every bank you connected.
- If you are the only member of your household: its transactions, balances and everything else in it.
- The copy of your budget on the device where you delete the account.
4. What is kept
- If other people share your household, its transactions and balances stay with them, including transactions from banks you connected, because they are part of their budget too.
- If anything remains that you want removed, email us and we will delete it within 30 days.
- Purchase records are held by Apple or Google Play under their own policies. Deleting your LazyBudget account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
- Records we are required to keep by law, if any, for the period the law requires.
- Our server never stores your AI questions, so there is nothing to delete there.
5. Delete some data without closing your account
You can delete individual transactions, bills and income in the app at any time. To leave a household but keep your account, open Settings → Household.
